Had a nice relaxing morning today; got up and going to head into the nearby town to upload to this blog, check emails, have a chai latte at my favorite local coffee shop and get a few groceries and ice for coolers. At 90+ degrees our ice doesn’t last long! Heading out at noon to pick up a friend at the Dickinson, ND airport who is flying in to join the dig activities for s few days. EJ is my daughter’s boyfriend and I’m glad to have him join me. It’ll be fun to introduce him to how we go about prospecting for and excavating fossils. Grabbing a couple of steaks so we can grill out at the camp this evening.

Nice visiting with Ej on drive back to camp then good steak dinner and we decided to go into town to my favorite spot, Old Skool Brewery. It’s a great local brewery housed in an old school house right in town; great spot, such nice people running it and working there, just a welcoming place. Even though it was a Friday night there were only one other party there. So we had the place basically to ourselves. Looking forward to taking Ej out in the field tomorrow to show him how we find and identify fossils and get some help on my main dig site.
