Helped a friend cutting hay and fixing his machinery; the rough ground is really hard on things. I raked hay on a tractor with an 18′ rake trailing behind and did some swathing (cutting of the grasses for the rake to collect into a single row). It was a beautiful and classic Montana day, some cloud cover in the early morning giving way to clear blue skies and direct sunshine along with a pretty constant light breeze. All over a great day.
Cleaned up and headed into town for some gas and ice and a meal. Met up with friends at my very favorite local brewery, the Old Skool, and enjoyed visiting with them.
Plan to be at the dig site tomorrow then close up early and go out to dinner with the owners of the ranch I’m prospecting on. Looking forward to catching up with Don & Merri.
