Happy Fall. Leaves have turned and are rapidly dropping off the trees here in southern Indiana. The Covid virus pandemic has thrown most everything and everyone of us into uncharted territory, leaving me more socially distant from friends and acquaintances than I wish to be. I sure long for things to become more normal again.

I’ve not been able to do any presentations at schools or any other gatherings since March and have had far fewer tours of the workshop than typical. We have had a few friends and “friends of friends” tour the fossil shop this summer and fall. I’m very pleased to be able to still do these tours occasionally; it reminds me mainly why I do this work – to be able to share with others.

Here are a couple of photos from a recent tour – engaged young people (with their parents in tow) exploring and asking lots of fun questions. So happy to be able to carefully still give tours and share!
