The Franklin College Fall Magazine just came out and there’s a nice article about the lab class I taught last semester. it seemed to go well for the students involved and I hope to grow from that first experience to make it an annual offering at Franklin. I’m working on plans to teach the fossil preparation lab class again next school year. I sure hope the college sees a benefit from me doing this introductory lab and it grows in number of students who are interested and maybe some other related course? I enjoyed the interaction with students and the general feeling I got just being on campus. Franklin is a small liberal arts school and it sure felt intimate and inclusive – just a really good vibe, in that teachers know their students, the classes are pretty small and the school knows the students and cares about each of them.
